If you’re going to read a guide about runecrafting, you are probably already pretty experienced with Runescape, as most new players haven’t done Rune Mysteries or neglect this ‘useless and boring’ skill. Levels 1-9: Air Runes

Rune essence can generally be obtained in 2 different ways: mine it yourself, or buy it from the G.E. Most people choose to buy it from the G.E. for the not-small price of (gp72) but new players may wish to mine it. A reason many new players don’t runecraft is because you can earn quite a bit of money fom the Rune essence, causing an overpowering temptation. But, I recommend you still spend the money to buy your essence. It’s faster, more efficient, and the money will pay itself back before long.
